Returning to School

Dear All,

We are mindful that managing the return to school after the Christmas break, where lots of us have mixed with our extended families, needs to be done carefully if we are to continue to keep Covid-19 out of school.

Do not return to school if you, your child or anyone they have been in contact with in the 48hrs prior to 4th January has had a positive test or are displaying any of the following symptoms:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

The Self Isolation period is now 10 days from the onset of symptoms/contact with confirmed case, please ensure you follow the nhs self isolation guidance:

It is also important that you inform school on 0115 952 5904, during school hours, so that we can support you and your child.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all well, we can get through this and hopefully have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
