School Closure with Immediate Effect

School Closure from the 04/01/21

Dear Parents and Carers,

Like me, you may just have heard the Prime Ministers announcement that we are in full lockdown with all schools closed to all pupils from tomorrow. He also stated that schools will work on their provision for vulnerable children and those of key workers in due course.

As you will appreciate we need time to plan who those children are, which staff we have available and how we are going to manage this along with remote learning.

I know that it is a huge inconvenience but unfortunately but we all being faced with difficult decisions and choices.

I have therefore decided that school is closed for all children tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January and Wednesday 6th January. This is to allow us to review our plans and put them into place to ensure that impact to children's education is minimized. Please see your child's class page on this website for your child's home learning work for the next few days.

I will be sending a letter tomorrow to all parents/carers to ascertain what uptake their will be for this provision.

We will be open for vulnerable children and those of key workers on Thursday 7th January as well providing a full remote learning package to all other children. We will also be issuing school meals vouchers for those eligible for Free School Meals.

Thank you for your understanding at this difficult and challenging time.

Kind Regards

Mrs Elkington
