Meet our team

A very warm welcome to Nursery (Foundation Stage 1) from Miss Chumun, Mrs Jarvis, Miss Waite and Miss Russell.

The following pages will hopefully provide you with as much information as possible. However, if you ever have any comments, questions or concerns please see a member of the Nursery staff at the beginning or end of the day or by phoning the school office.

We are looking forward to a brilliant year in Foundation 1!

Miss Chumun

Hello! I am the Nursery Teacher and Keyworker for Blue group, FS1 lead, Art Lead, a designated safeguarding lead and well-being lead for the school. I have been at Butlers Hill for 16 years working in Reception, Year 1 and Nursery and I have also covered for a short time in Year 2.

I am so lucky as I've always known that I wanted to teach, inspire and build confidence in children. I am passionate about and love being in the Early Years.  The children's curiosity, love for learning and the exploration of the world around them always keeps me on my toes and I love that and it inspires me too! My favourite thing to teach and extend children in is their understanding of the world and their creativity, which can happen anywhere and in any lesson!

When I'm home I love to explore new places with my little family, dancing in the rain and watching thunderstorms. When not out and about I enjoy baking and trying new recipes. Family and friends mean everything to me and when we all get together, I might even bake them a delicious treat! wink

Miss Waite

Mrs Jarvis

Hello! I'm the key worker in Red Group here at Butler's Hill, and I've been with the school for over 15 years.

While I have worked in all parts of the school, I always come back to the nursery because I am deeply passionate about the early years. I feel very lucky to play a part in shaping the future of our youngest children—supporting their learning through play and providing new, exciting opportunities that help them become lifelong learners.

In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, visiting friends, and exploring new places.

It is our passion and we hope you share it with us.
