I am a Geographer - Topic overview
This half term our text in English (and the basis for our topic on Africa), is The Lion Inside by Rachel Bright. We meet a small mouse who is fed up of being ignored by the other animals, Mouse wishes he could roar like Lion. But, as he discovers, even the biggest, bossiest people are scared sometimes ... and even the smallest creatures can have the heart of a lion!
Our geography unit this half term will be linked to Africa. We will be learning about the Human and Physical features associated with Kenya and how life in Africa may be different to ours in Hucknall and the UK. We will find out about the Massai people of Kenya and how their farming may affect the wild animals.
Our Art this half term will also be linked to Africa and we will looks at African patterns and some African art.
