Were Dinosaurs real?

We will begin this half term with an exciting visit from the Portals in the Past team who will bring with them an array of exciting dinosaur models and real artifcats and fossils! We will learn all about the different dinosaurs to help with our instructional, poetry and report writing.

We will be learning all about fossilisation, sources of evidence and the amazing woman that was Mary Anning! We will learn all about her amazing finds on the beaches of Lyme Regis!

Year 2 have had an exciting half term so far! We have worked so hard on our SAT's and this was an amazing experience for the children to learn and have lots of fun. Graham and Sue visited us from 'Portals In the Past' an amazing historical theatre and learning company. We had hands on experiences with fossils and had chance to play with large 3D dinosaurs. We even had a surprise visit from the famous palaeologist Mary Anning! The behaviour of the children was outstanding as always, we received a warm and thankful letter from Graham and Sue after their visit. Well done Year 2's
